At the beginning of her artistic career Maria Temnitschka designed and produced jewellery and objects made of metal. Reorientation to painting - at first abstract, since 2000 figurative representation. Main theme of the last years: Spatial representations like Kafkaesque staircase views and depictions of urban structures (insights into typical Viennese courtyards, industrial buildings, peripheral zones)
