Painting is the focus of his work. Sidesteps such as performative work and the discovery of stone as a new material have always led back to the origin: the works on paper.
Even if his creative origin was based on the figurative, it is the abstraction that makes it move into its centre. Other aspects of his creations are the reductive design language and the typical colour palette: Indigo, Ochre, Blue, Grey, White and Orange

The oil paints do not reach the canvas over the brush, but are thinned on the image carrier. The colour composition does not arise on the pallet, but is controlled, structured and precisely designed directly on the canvas. The brush is used for setting the clear forms of composition

Ulrich Plieschnig's works have a mystery, which invites the viewers to think about perception, reality and interpretation. They reflect a dialogue between the felt and the perceived, leaving an ostentative scope behind the visions behind it.
